HEALTH & SAFETY LEADS - CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR - DUBLIN

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a leading Irish Contractor who undertake projects
throughout Ireland in large scale construction.

They have successfully completed projects across a range of sectors
including Civil, Residential, Data Centres, Hospitality, Commercial,
Industrial, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical.

They are seeking EHS Leads for construction projects in Dublin centre

Implement the company’s health, safety, quality and environmental
policy, procedures and management systems

Promote a positive Health and Safety culture on site with Site
Management, Contractors and workers

Lead and promote continuous improvement in relation to all health,
safety and environmental work practices on the site

Communicate with local authorities and any other external bodies
relating to EHS

Ensure the duties of PSCS is being fulfilled

Identify areas of risk and develop risk assessments/measures to reduce
and control

Monitor EHS compliance on site and to generate weekly inspections &
reports

Host and lead safety meetings on site weekly

Develop, maintain and foster collaborative relationships with the
wider project team

Influence and coach site team in the implementation of best practice
EHS standards

Advising and assisting site management in drafting, reviewing and
communicating Method Statements, Safe Plans of Action and Toolbox
Talks

Manage training and compliance files and be able to conduct a training
gap analysis

Provide advice, guidance and instruction in all health & safety
matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including
sub-contractors where appropriate)

Deliver Health and Safety induction programmes and managing the
administration for new employees or sub-contractors working on site

Conduct regular inspections and site audits, reporting findings to
site and senior company management. Strict follow-up is required to
ensure that actions are dealt with immediately

Ensure that all accidents are reported, recorded and investigated and
that suitable notification is given to the Directors, Health & Safety
Authority and Insurers as required

Compile incident investigation reports

Compile relevant information for inclusion in the Safety File and
preparing for handover to the Client at the end of the project

Promote the Company mission of being a healthy and incident and injury
free workplace

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Hold a relevant EHS Qualification

5+years’ experience in a similar role on construction projects

Experience working with a PSCS contractor

Excellent IT skills and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Good time management and organisation skills

Ability and willingness to work on own initiative but also capable of
working as part of a team

Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline
environment

Ability to demonstrate building strong working relationships &
stakeholder management

Full, clean driving licence is required

PACKAGE

Salary € *K - € *K and
negotiable dependent on experience
